FIVE

Tonight is game five.  I'm tired, you're tired… but you know who isn't… THE ROOKIES.  Hit the jump for a preview of tonight's game.

They aren't tired… they aren't weary… they're hungry.  They want the W.  What makes me think this?

This—->

Nyquist became the first DET rookie in team history to register two OT points in one playoff year with his assist on Brunner's GWG in Game 4 (also scored DET's OT GWG in Game 2)

Since 2000, only one other NHL rookie has recorded two OT points in one postseason – Adam Henrique, NJD (two OT goals in 2012 Playoffs)

Smith (1-1-2) recorded his first career postseason goal and assist in Game 4 vs ANA

Andersson (0-2-2) recorded his first two career postseason points in Game 4 vs ANA

That's why.  They're setting records and doing things that make us marvel at their talent.  Let's hope they do it again tonight.  If not… we've got the veterans.  Let's take a look at them for a moment shall we?

Zetterberg has 18 points (6-12-18) in 21 career postseason games vs ANA

Cleary has 14 points (4-10-14) in 17 career postseason games vs ANA

Franzen has 12 points (9-3-12) in 17 career postseason games vs ANA

Datsyuk has 11 points (4-7-11) in 21 career postseason games vs ANA

There ya have it.  We rock and can easily win this.  Tonight is the night.  LET'S ROLL!!!
