Tomas Jurco has puck skills.
He was drafted by Detroit last year with 35th selection overall. The 19 year old Slovak is just one of the young promising talents that Detroit has in its ranks.
According to Khan(!), he was signed to a three year entry-level deal worth $2.12 million.
The 6’2, 193 pounder has been tearing it up in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League…accumulating 175 points in 172 games played. Just last year, he helped his team (St. John) win the league championship by chipping in 30 goals and 68 points in 45 regular season games and 13 goals and 29 points in 16 play-off games.

Like I said…the kid has puck skills:
Want more proof? It’s not hard to find…
…that last bit was obviously recorded prior to him being selected by the Detroit Red Wings. Jurco will start the season next year with the Grand Rapids Griffins, where he will join other young talents like Tomas Tatar, Joakim Andersson, and Landon Ferraro. It’s nice to know that the young European has already become accustomed to the NHL-sized rink – now it’s just a matter of getting used to playing against bigger, faster, stronger players.
How long before he dons the Winged Wheel?
