The playoffs are where true champions of the sport of hockey shine through. The regular season is over and everything before tonight does not matter. True players with heart will show up to play tonight. They aren’t playing for endorsement deals, or goal scoring bonuses. They are playing for a chance to lift Lord Stanley’s cup.

Players like Zetterberg and Franzen will elevate their game to god like levels. They will give every ounce of themselves on the ice. The Red Wings have been here before and they know what needs to be done. The playoffs are just as much about heart as they are skill, mix in a little bit of luck and you might just see a parade down Woodward come June.

It all starts tonight. LGRW!
