Well…this game wasn’t for the faint of heart, as the Wings and Cancuks flexed their offensive muscles, scoring a combined 11 nine goals in under 65 minutes when it was all said and done.
Most Wings fans take this 5-4 OT win with a little less enthusiasm as Pavel Datsyuk left the game late in the first period and did not return. We’ll keep you updated on Pav. But in the meantime, let’s try and enjoy this win. Vancouver came into tonight riding a four game winning streak with a chance to pull even with Detroit – they fall to three points back.
Two of Chris’s Cold Trending players had stellar games on the score sheet. Todd Bertuzzi set up the smokin’ hot (take that as you will) Danny Cleary and Henrik Zetterberg popped in a pair of goals (including the game winner) and had his rebound set up Nick Lidstrom to tie the game late in the third. Brian Rafalski also tried to make amends for the Dallas game by adding three helpers.
Okay…now back to being worried about Pavel. He fell awkwardly on his wrist after getting tangled up with Mikael “William Tell” Samuelsson. God help you if you hurt him bad, Sammy.

From the Free Press:
“He’s got a broken hand or wrist, something like that. He’ll be out about four weeks. It’s unfortunate. There’s nothing you can do. We’ve got find a way to dig in, just like we did tonight.”— Mike Babcock
God bless it.
