“I’m not kidding myself, I got a lot of catching up to do. The one thing I can control is to make sure when I come back there’s no setbacks. Mentally, there’s not a chance I could handle that. I got to be patient with it, be smart with it, that’s why I haven’t really put a timeline on when I’m going to skate." --Kris Draper
This is what #33 had to say to Khan(!) after an ultrasound on his injured groin revealed a small tear. Draper hasn't skated since September 18th at the Traverse City Training Camp. He will not be able to participate in a single pre-season game this year.
Bah...I hate this. They're already getting banged up, folks. Here's the list so far:
- Draper - groin (out for ten days)
- Modano - groin (out at least tomorrow)
- Osgood - charley horse (didn't practice)
- Franzen - charley horse (playing tomorrow)
- Ritola - ear (playing tomorrow)
- Meech - concussion (out since Wednesday)
- Downey - concussion (out since Saturday)
Can someone please tell these guys to take it easy? We've got a long way to go this season...
