Kick ‘Em When They’re Down: Beating the Blues

winged_wheel
Here’s a small tip for you fans when watching the Red Wings…don’t touch that dial – or you might miss a four goal explosion in the third period.  So it would seem that my absence wasn’t the key to Detroit’s success as I posted twice yesterday and the Wings STILL managed to pull out the ‘W’.

And you know what that means – some utterly thoughtful and well educated comments from our favorite Bitter Brittle B*tch Blues Blog…St. Louis Game Time.  This should be interesting…and sweet considering the title of their game day thread was “Blues @ Deadthings” – how original.  Let’s go to the board:

As I’m sure you all know, the savior supposed of the Blues (Halak) managed to score the opening goal…on himself last night.  And the Blues fans weren’t too thrilled:

And here’s my personal favorite…

what a bunch of douches. don’t celebrate a goal that you had nothing to do with. bad form. bad fu*king form. but what to i expect from these detwat assholes?
by NaJaKwa on Nov 17, 2010 6:49 PM CST

Haha….oh Blues fans.  You wonder why we call them bitter?  That about sums it up right there.

Oh and for some reason, St. Louis seems to really hate Kris Draper – not sure why.  They made several references to his age before the puck even dropped last night and someone spouted something to the effect of “at least it wasn’t Draper” when Miller got credit for Halak’s eff up.

Hell, let’s go right to the third period where the Wings told the Blues to go their shine box and scored 4 goals in less than 10 minutes.  The ensuing comments should be fun…

Their comments went from their usual charm when the Wings snapped the tie to go up 4-3…

F*CKING HELL F*CK YOU CLEARY

To cautiously optimistic after the Wings went up 5-3…

Lots of time left
This game hasn’t disappointed on excitement yet, why stop now.

To utterly hopeless after Detroit blew the doors off this game and went up 6-3 and eventually 7-3 before the game was over…

Cock-a-doodle-dick-sh*ts!

Awwww…I wonder how “dablues7″ was doing when the Blues got off to their over-achieving start to this season.  Think he was ready to jump off the bandwagon then?  Just goes to show you the kind of people we’re dealing with.  I think it’s quite amusing just how much St. Louis fans HATE Detroit and how much we DON’T EVEN CARE.  Their tears taste like Moosetracks ice cream to me.

And I’ve deamed this season’s slogan “Restoring the natural order of things”.  Hope you enjoyed Detroit’s year off, everyone – because Red Wing dominance of the Central/West/NHL is back baby.
