Per the Khan(!):
Detroit Red Wings goaltender Chris Osgood injured his groin early in today’s practice and went to the hospital for tests.
“Groin soreness and he’s being evaluated, so when I talk about groins normally that means day-to-day and then two weeks later we talk about it again,” coach Mike Babcock said. “And for a goalie, it usually means day-to-day and three weeks later we talk about it.”
It is also reported that eyewitnesses saw Joey MacDonald running away from the scene with a crowbar screaming “you’ll never send me back down!” at the top of his lungs.
At least the good news is that Ericsson is back, as the Wings sent Janik back down as well. I was actually fairly impressed with Janik and his ability to blend in.
